The setup
Small and mid-sized firms are already drafting with Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. The assistant knows the law in general. It knows nothing about the firm's own work: the clauses it negotiated, the letters that worked, the opinions it stands behind.

The problem
Adoption doubled in a year. What the assistant draws on did not change: public text, not the firm's precedents, and nothing a lawyer can trace back to a matter.

How it is done today
The assistant is open in one window and the firm's precedents are in another, if anyone remembers which one to open.
- 01
Open the assistant
a public model, a personal login
- 02
Paste in a precedent by hand
if someone remembers which one
- 03
Draft
the model fills the gaps from public text
- 04
Check from memory
no pointer to the source clause
- 05
File it
the firm's index is no richer than before
What we would build
MCP Connect is a private index of the firm's own work, served to Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini through the Model Context Protocol. A lawyer asks for the firm's standard indemnity and gets the firm's own, with the matter it came from beside it. Nothing leaves the index without a pointer back.
-
01
Documents indexed where they live
- Local folders
- Practice management system
- No migration
-
02
A private index
- One per firm
- Hosted in the EU
- Firm's own login
-
03
Served as a connector
- Claude
- ChatGPT
- Gemini
- Model Context Protocol
-
04
Lawyers draft from their own work
- Source beside each passage
- Tabular review
- Version comparison
-
05
A lawyer reviews
- Nothing leaves without a source
The result
The assistant the firm already uses, drawing on the firm's own work.
| Step | Today | With MCP Connect |
|---|---|---|
| The firm's work | Invisible to the assistant | A private index, one per firm, in the EU |
| Finding a precedent | Memory and folders | Asked for in plain words, returned with its matter |
| The draft | From public text | From the firm's own clauses |
| Checking | Against memory | Every passage traced to its source |
| Review tools | Bought one by one | Tabular review and version comparison on the same index |
A concept, worked out in October 2026 with two firms. Set up and run with the firm as a service.
Build it with us.
We are looking for two or three more firms to shape MCP Connect on their own precedents. If that is your firm, we would like to hear from you.
