Vanta Point Labs builds software for lawyers. We are a small team of lawyers, engineers and security researchers working between the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, building the tools we wished we had when the file landed on our own desks.

We believe the practice of law will change more in the next ten years than it did in the last hundred, and that most of what gets built for it will be built wrong: fluent, confident and unaccountable. Our work is the opposite. Software that applies the rules the way a careful professional would, records where every fact came from, and leaves the decision with the person whose name goes on the file.

The future we are working towards is a profession that spends its hours on judgement rather than on gathering, checking and retyping, and a public that can trust what a firm tells it because every conclusion can be followed back to its source. The machine keeps the record. The lawyer keeps the judgement.

We build with the firms who will use the work, one matter type at a time, and we ship nothing whose reasoning cannot be shown.

What we build

Diligentia client onboarding
Anti-money-laundering and know-your-client checks for law firms. The registers answer first, the client provides only what registers cannot, and the check ends in the firm's own compliance documents, completely filled in, with every fact sourced.
Signum intellectual property
Case assessment for brand and design enforcement. An accused product is broken into its design elements, searched against the trademark registers, and scored on the questions a court would ask. Every match points to an office record; every conclusion stays with the lawyer.
